This is the one-minute slice of today's morning companion: a verse and a step. If it helps, there's a quiet door to the full day below.
„Jesus said to her, Mary! She turned and cried out, Rabbouni!" (which means Teacher). John 20:16
Today I ask a single gesture of you, nothing more. In the morning, before the phone can pull you in, stop for half a minute and speak your own name to God, aloud or only within: „Here I am, Lord, and I turn to you." Then stay silent while you breathe ten times. Ask for nothing meanwhile. Just let him call you.
During the day, when the grey of anxiety or loneliness first grips you, do not fight it. Turn around, like Mary in the garden, and repeat softly: „The living Lord calls me by name." A burden that settled on your shoulders this morning, set it down here, now, in a single sentence. He lifts it up, as on Easter morning he already lifted everything.
