This is the one-minute slice of today's morning companion: a verse and a step. If it helps, there's a quiet door to the full day below.
"I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where will my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth." Psalm 121:1–2
Don't put prayer off until you are "in order." Now, just as you are, give it a minute. Don't hunt for beautiful sentences; look for the true one. If the tiredness is heavy, if you have no strength to compose long words, this is enough: I love You, Jesus; help me. Say it slowly, a few times, and actually lift your eyes as you do, toward the window, the sky, an image.
And once during the day, instead of watching for other people's weeds, ask yourself: what good wants to grow in me right now? Water it with a single gesture: a forgiveness, a patient word, a quiet prayer for someone, and leave the rest to the One to whom the harvest belongs.
