"For God, who said, 'Let light shine out of darkness,' has shone in our hearts to give the light of the knowledge of the glory of God in the face of Christ. But we have this treasure in jars of clay, to show that the surpassing power belongs to God and not to us." 2 Corinthians 4:6–7
Take a minute this morning to do what Jeremiah did: go down in spirit to the potter's house. Lower your hands, open your palms, and say slowly: Lord, I am clay in Your hands, shape me today into what You want. Don't map out how the day should go; hand it to the Potter.
And once during the day, ask the question: where might the treasure shine through me today? Perhaps where someone hard to love asks for patience. Perhaps in a clean, straight word, where it would be easier to dodge the truth. Don't try to make yourself look bright, just let the glory within you get out, precisely at the place where you are most fragile.
