This is the one-minute slice of today's morning companion: a verse and a step. If it helps, there's a quiet door to the full day below.
"Now to him who is able to do far more abundantly than all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to him be glory." Ephesians 3:20–21
Name one thing this morning that is beyond your strength. A situation, a person, a decision you cannot solve. Do not be ashamed that you cannot manage it. Open your hands and say slowly: Lord, this is beyond me: You do it, by Your power at work in me.
And during the day, when you catch yourself scolding yourself for something in which you were only human: that you got tired, that you slipped, that you were not enough. Stop for a moment. Don't keep beating yourself. Say instead: God is not waiting for my perfection, He is waiting for me. And hand Him the very place where you are most fragile.
