This is the one-minute slice of today's morning companion: a verse and a step. If it helps, there's a quiet door to the full day below.
"Take heart, it is I; do not be afraid." Matthew 14:27
Think of the one thing that tosses your heart the most this morning. Not all of them; just one. A decision, a fear, a person it will be hard to face today. This is your wave for today.
Don't solve it now. Just say quietly, the way Peter did: "Lord, save me!" Then add the other half: "I'm looking at You, not at the wind." Carry these two sentences with you, and whenever you begin to sink today, repeat them. It doesn't take a great faith. It's enough not to take your eyes off Him.
