Find the one point in your day where you want to prove something: where you have to look like the best, the strongest, the one who's right. Don't look for all of them, just that one. There, in that moment, try to be small.

Say it softly, even just to yourself: "Lord, I don't have to win this. It's enough that I'm Yours." Let go of the race for one movement. Or turn toward someone pushed to the edge of the flock: someone sick, someone lonely, someone who has drifted away. One act of becoming small is enough for today. Leave the rest to the Shepherd.
