This is the one-minute slice of today's morning companion: a verse and a step. If it helps, there's a quiet door to the full day below.
„Then Jesus said to her, ‘Woman, great is your faith! Let it be done for you as you wish.’ And her daughter was healed instantly.” Matthew 15:28
There's probably a prayer you've given up on. You asked for something for a long time, no answer came, and slowly you fell silent about it, as if it were a shut door. Today take out that one. You don't need new words; it's enough to say it again, the way the Canaanite woman did, and to stand with it at the door.
Say it out loud, if you can: „Lord, I'm not letting this go. I leave it with you, and I'm staying here.” Then entrust to him when and how he answers. Your job isn't to wring an answer out of him, but to stay near him. A persevering trust, content even with little, stops the heart of God.
