In Your Presence · One-Minute Companion

This is the one-minute slice of today's morning companion: a verse and a step. If it helps, there's a quiet door to the full day below.

"But who do you say that I am?" Simon Peter answered, "You are the Christ, the Son of the living God." And Jesus answered him, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah! For flesh and blood has not revealed this to you, but my Father who is in heaven." Matthew 16:15–17
Answer in Your Own Voice

Ask yourself today the same question Jesus asked Peter: not what others say about you or about God, but what you actually believe. Don't reach for the polished answer; just say what's true.

If you catch yourself measuring your life against someone else's today, your work, your parenting, your faith, stop for a second. Ask: whose voice am I letting decide who I am right now?

If there's an answer in you that isn't borrowed, one you haven't said out loud to anyone yet, find a minute for it today.
