This is the one-minute slice of today's morning companion: a verse and a step. If it helps, there's a quiet door to the full day below.
"Woe to you, scribes and Pharisees, you hypocrites! You are like whitewashed tombs, which appear beautiful on the outside, but inside are full of dead people's bones and every kind of filth. Even so, on the outside you appear righteous to others, but inside you are filled with hypocrisy and evildoing." Matthew 23:27–28
Pick one small part of yourself today that you've mostly hidden or dressed up: a tiredness, an old wound, a wish you've never said out loud. Don't try to fix it today. Just name it before God, in one sentence.
Then add one small, real action to it: call someone you've let slide, or give ten minutes to something you actually want to grow in. Don't straighten the front today. Water something.
